We are responsible for the cryogenic plants that refrigerate our accelerators (XFEL, FLASH) and various test facilities.

We design, build and operate the process controls for the helium refrigeration plants and the helium distribution system.

We specify, design and build small and large cryogenic components (valve boxes, helium transfer lines, accelerator modules and test cryostats).

We design and specify helium cooling processes for superconducting components.

We operate various test facilities (MTH, CMTB, AMTF) for testing components (e.g. superconducting magnets, high-frequency resonators and accelerator modules) at low temperatures (up to 2K).
